The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce was established in 1947 and serves the entire Big Bear Valley. The Board is comprised of 15 directors that are elected by the membership and volunteer to serve a two-year term. Seven of these directors also serve on the Executive Committee as committee chairpersons.
The Chamber is supported by the Ambassadors, a non-elected committee of 16-20 members. The Ambassadors provide membership support and participate in mixers, monthly Power Breakfasts, and other events of the Chamber.
The Chamber Maids, a women's auxilary of the Chamber, also support the Chamber through fundraising and volunteer efforts. The President of the Chamber Maids serves on the Chamber Board.
